Kansas City Healthy Lifestyles Collaborative

The Kansas City Healthy Lifestyles Collaborative at Children's Mercy is a program of the Center for Children's Healthy Lifestyles & Nutrition.  As the backbone organization for the Kansas City Physical Activity Plan, it supports both the Core Work Group and the Sector Work Groups.

The Kansas City Healthy Lifestyles Collaborative's approach is founded in the socio-ecological model, recognizing that policy, environmental change, and individual level interventions are all part of creating equitable opportunities for achieving healthy lifestyles.

The Kansas City Healthy Lifestyles Collaborative has a long history of convening and connecting partners across the region around the promotion of children's healthy lifestyles.

The Kansas City Physical Activity Plan and the Kansas City Regional Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth is an extension of this work.
